Patrick Kibble and TF Sport team-mate Josh Price will head to Silverstone this weekend to tackle the next round of the 2019 British GT season in one of its calendar highlights.
16-year-old Patrick has had a mixed start to his debut British GT season, after making the transition from the Ginetta Junior Championship. At the 2019 opener at Oulton Park, the duo of Patrick and Josh Price earnt a fifth-place finish in their #95 Aston Martin GT4.
Last time out at Snetterton, despite a challenging race one, Patrick still nursed the car home in seventh position in the first race of the weekend, with eighth being the outcome in the second outing.
This weekend, the competition will intensify as the series heads to Silverstone for one of the highlights on its 2019 calendar. The Aston Martin Racing Academy Driver will once again be partnered with Josh as they return to racing after a three-week break in the British GT schedule.
Sunday will see the longest race of the year yet, with a three-hour battle set to take place in the afternoon. Joining Patrick and Josh will be a strong field of competitors as they all seek glory at the 3.66-mile, 18-turn circuit.
“Snetterton was a tough weekend for me and the team, but I’m very confident that we are going to bounce back,” Patrick said. “Silverstone is always going to be a special circuit to race at, and I am looking forward to seeing what Josh and I can achieve together.
“The season so far has been a real mixture of fortunes, so hopefully we will be able to have a more positive result on Sunday. The pace has been there for both of us, and we have been unlucky. I know that both of us and the team are really determined to make this race count!”
Qualifying for the Silverstone 500 will commence at 15:40 on Saturday, with the main race taking place at 12:35 on Sunday.
