Patrick Kibble has been announced today in TF Sport’s 2019 British GT4 driver line-up and will join the squad in racing behind the wheel of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4.
Racing with his silver-graded license, Patrick joins the seven-round British GT series for the 2019 campaign which sees races hosted at the UK’s most iconic circuits, including Silverstone and Brands Hatch - with one round held across the channel at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.
Joining front-running team TF Sport, the team was founded by Tom Ferrier in 2014 and has enjoyed winning pedigree from the outset, becoming champions in the British GT Championship, Michelin Le Mans Cup and Blancpain Endurance Cup. The biggest programme of the team’s short history is the FIA World Endurance Championship where the team has embarked on the Super Season in the LMGTE Am class - racking up three runner-up finishes already.
Patrick joins Tom Canning, Rory Collingbourne and Josh Price in the team’s junior programme that will compete in the two brand-new Aston Martin Vantage GT4s, which are available to customers for the first time this year. With two drivers in each car, the exact crews will be announced at a later date.
At just 16-years-old, Patrick is one of the youngest competitors in the field but on the back of a fantastic debut campaign in Ginetta Juniors, where he secured one win and nine podiums on his way to 4th in the Championship, he is looking to continue to extend his success into British GT.
“I’m really pleased to be joining TF Sport and making the step up to British GT," Patrick said. "The team has a winning DNA and has been extremely successful in everything they have done so the aim is to keep this success going into British GT4.
“It’s going to be an exciting challenge, with a new car, a new team and a new championship, but I’m eager to get the season underway and to get back on-track.”
With a strong driver line-up and team, Tom Ferrier, TF Sport’s Director, has his eyes firmly set on the championship title in GT4 this year.
“We need to hit the ground running on our return to GT4 competition this year,” said TF Sport Director Tom Ferrier. “We have a clear objective and that is to win races and be in the position to challenge for the title with both cars. We’re delighted to have these four young drivers on board with TF Sport for the 2019 season.”
Donington Park hosts the championship’s pre-season media day on March 5 before the 2019 season gets underway at Oulton Park on April 20 & 22 and will run through till the season-finale at Donington Park on the 14-15th September.
